Multi-omics analysis
Transcriptomics, scRNA-seq, proteomics, metabolomics, lipidomics, metagenomics and integrated analyses to identify biomarkers, mechanisms and relevant biological patterns.
Bioinformatics Analysis
CAEBi helps research teams transform genomic, clinical and molecular data into reliable evidence for discovery, decision-making and publication.
About CAEBi
Founded in 2012, CAEBi is a private research organization specializing in the analysis of large genetic, clinical and molecular datasets. The team brings experience in epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, genomics, biostatistics and scientific project development.
CAEBi collaborates with academic institutions, research centers and private organizations to generate robust evidence, support biomedical research and share knowledge through training, collaborative projects and analytical tools.
Leadership
María Eugenia Sáez, CAEBi's CEO and co-founder, holds a Pharmacy degree from the University of Seville and a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Her early research focused on microbiology, directed mutagenesis and molecular biology, followed by postgraduate work in medical genetics at Hospital Universitario Virgen del Rocío, where she contributed to research and diagnosis in Mendelian diseases including familial cancer, fragile X syndrome, cystic fibrosis and Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophies.
Before co-founding CAEBi, she worked at Neocodex, a Spanish biotechnology company, where she led cardiovascular research projects aimed at identifying new pharmacological targets through genetics and systems biology. Her work included case-control studies, GWAS, population genetics, genotype imputation, meta-analysis, gene expression analysis, copy number variation and pharmacogenomics.
Since co-founding CAEBi in Seville in 2012, she has developed multi-omics, clinical, epidemiological and pharmacoepidemiological studies using large datasets in collaboration with public and private research centers. Across her career, she has published more than 100 articles in international Medline-indexed journals, presented over 50 communications at scientific conferences and contributed to three patent families.
She also serves as a scientific evaluator for national and European innovation and health programs, has advised pharmaceutical companies and private research centers, and has supervised doctoral work. Her teaching activity includes university internships and postgraduate programs in omics data analysis, systems biology, biotechnology and biomedicine.
